Managing cases and dossiers digitally

A permit, a naturalisation, a municipal council resolution: every case needs traceable filing, from the first document to completion. With Fabasoft OneGov, municipalities and cities manage cases and dossiers according to their own classification scheme: with defined processes, audit-proof filing and a transparent processing status.

  • Bundle documents, correspondence and notes in the dossier
  • All changes traceable thanks to versioning and logging
  • Open items and deadlines in view at all times

Collaborating across departments, from the building office to resident services

A new park or a naturalisation involves many bodies and requires coordinated collaboration. Fabasoft OneGov brings all departments together in a shared filing structure. A case changes responsibility without media break, there is no duplicate filing and nothing gets lost along the way. All bodies work together on the current and only version of a document.

  • Pass cases between departments without email or duplicates
  • Uniform filing structure, from the small municipality to the city
  • Control permissions granularly and trace access

Ready-made processes and AI in the municipal administration

In every municipal administration, recurring tasks add up, from assigning incoming mail to publishing the municipal council resolution. Fabasoft OneGov comes with a ready-made process library for these workflows. And the integrated AI captures metadata, assigns incoming documents to the correct dossier and suggests the next steps. This leaves administrations more time for the needs of the population.

  • Ready-made process library for municipal business, continuously expanded
  • Design your own workflows with the BPMN 2.0 process designer, no programming skills required
  • Everything included as standard, without paid add-on modules

FAQ

GEVER software, also known as municipal software for business management, digitalises the records management and business processes of a municipality: from dossier filing and deadlines to audit-proof archiving. Fabasoft OneGov meets these requirements for municipalities and cities of any size and complements them with AI automation and specialist processes.

The legal requirements derive from cantonal law. In the canton of Bern, the obligation to introduce a GEVER system applies by March 2027, in the canton of Zurich by January 2029, and further cantons will follow. Your canton’s legislation is decisive. Fabasoft Switzerland will gladly advise you on the possible options.

Yes. Fabasoft OneGov runs cloud-native: Fabasoft Switzerland takes care of operation, maintenance and updates, and no IT infrastructure of your own is needed. Municipal staff simply access Fabasoft OneGov via the browser. Smaller municipalities in particular can therefore start without a server room of their own.

Yes, in a multi-tenant network. Several municipalities, parishes or burgher communities share a common environment and thus introduction, operation and costs. Their data remains strictly separated and their classification schemes independent. This considerably reduces the effort, especially for smaller organisations.

Yes. Fabasoft OneGov includes the meeting functions of Fabasoft Boards as standard for preparing and recording municipal council meetings. For extensive committee work, for example in city parliaments or larger authorities, the full version of Fabasoft Boards is available.

Yes. Fabasoft OneGov relies on open standards for connecting specialist applications and surrounding systems, from resident management software to financial software. Existing systems remain in use and duplicate data entry is eliminated. This creates a reliable data basis across all departments.
