Swiss Cantons rely on Fabasoft
Managing government business digitally, from co-report to resolution
A piece of government business passes through comments from specialist offices and general secretariats, reconciliation and a resolution by the cantonal government. Fabasoft OneGov maps all of these workflows digitally: every case follows the defined process, every response lands automatically in the right place, every status is visible to all parties involved.
- Consultations between offices, departments and directorates
- Integrated meeting management, seamlessly combinable with Fabasoft Boards
- Press releases in a guided editorial process
Ready-made processes and AI in the cantonal administration
In every cantonal administration, recurring tasks add up, from assigning incoming mail to publishing the cantonal government resolution. Fabasoft OneGov comes with a ready-made process library for these workflows. And the integrated AI captures metadata, assigns incoming documents to the correct dossier and suggests the next steps. This leaves administrations more time for the needs of the population.
- Ready-made process library for cantonal business, continuously expanded
- Design your own workflows with the BPMN 2.0 process designer, no programming skills required
- Everything included as standard, without paid add-on modules
Records management and transfer: from the dossier to the cantonal archives
What the cantonal government decides today, the cantonal archives will review in twenty years. Fabasoft OneGov manages cases across their entire lifecycle: structured metadata accompanies every dossier from opening to transfer according to eCH-0160 (SIP). Retention periods run rule-based across all offices, and every change remains traceable thanks to versioning with a time travel function.
- Structured metadata across all offices and departments
- Rule-based, canton-wide control of retention periods
- Transfer to the cantonal archives according to eCH-0160 (SIP)
Replacing a GEVER system without interrupting ongoing operations
A GEVER system is the backbone of a cantonal administration. Interrupting daily business during the switch is not an option. Since 2003, Fabasoft Switzerland has supported administrations in migration projects so that the switch to Fabasoft OneGov succeeds during ongoing operations without interruption. We replace grown systems in phases: office by office, with close support.
- Proven migration approach from network drives and existing GEVER systems
- All dossiers and the complete history are preserved
- Personal support from analysis through to operation
FAQ
Yes. In the Fabasoft OneGov multi-tenant network, every office and every department maintains an independent classification scheme with its own processes, roles and permissions. Access remains strictly separated; access to other tenants is only possible with explicit approval. Common standards and templates nevertheless apply canton-wide, steered by a higher-level body, for example the IT office.
Fabasoft OneGov maps co-reports and consultations as guided digital processes: a case goes to the participating offices and directorates, every statement is assigned automatically to the right case, and deadlines and status are visible to everyone involved. From opening through the cantonal government resolution to transfer to the cantonal archives, every step remains documented and traceable.
The transfer takes place via the archive interface according to eCH-0160 (SIP). Structured metadata accompanies every dossier from receipt to handover, and retention periods run rule-based. Fabasoft OneGov delivers the dossiers to the cantonal archives completely and in compliance with standards, ready for appraisal.
Fabasoft Switzerland replaces grown systems in phases, office by office, without interrupting daily business. We take over existing dossiers and the complete history. Instead of switching over all at once, the rollout takes place in waves: pilot, gradual introduction in further directorates, consolidation. Closely supported from analysis through to operation.
Fabasoft OneGov runs cloud-native in two redundant data centres in the Greater Zurich area. Operation is certified according to BSI C5, ISO 27001 and 27018, ISAE 3000 SOC2 and 3402 Type 2 as well as EU Cloud CoC Level 3. Cantonal administrations thus retain full control over highly sensitive data without having to operate their own infrastructure.
