From January 27 to 29, 2026, European software provider Fabasoft Approve was represented as an exhibitor at the Handelsblatt Energy Summit 2026 in Berlin. The event is considered the annual kick-off for the German energy industry. It brings together high-ranking decision-makers from politics, business, and science to discuss pressing issues of energy supply, competitiveness, and transformation. Around 1,000 participants visited the Berlin Congress Center (bcc) on Alexanderplatz and listened to presentations from more than 100 speakers.
AI as an enabler of the energy transition
The three-day event also focused on the topic of digitalization in specialist presentations – for example, in the context of how artificial intelligence can be used as a game changer for the energy system in 2030+. Such discussions showed how important data-driven approaches are for flexible control, reliable forecasts, and operational excellence in the energy sector—topics that are also central to Fabasoft Approve.

As part of the exhibitor program, Fabasoft Approve presented innovative use cases for digital document and quality management specifically for the energy industry. At the booth, numerous visitors took the opportunity to learn about the advantages of the software for quality processes, technical documentation, and compliance with high compliance requirements in personal conversations.
The direct exchange with specialists and executives from energy suppliers, network operators, and technology providers provided valuable insights into the challenges and priorities of the industry.
