AI Engineer (f/m/d)

Your mission:

• You will design, develop, and integrate AI-powered use cases for the Fabasoft eGov Suite, such as automated document classification, intelligent information extraction, automated summarization, and semantic search.
• You will apply your AI expertise to implement AI use cases using common programming languages such as Python, as well as the native Fabasoft development language, app.ducx.
• You will support the entire development lifecycle—from feasibility analysis and proof of concept (PoC), through the selection of suitable AI models (e.g., APIs or open-source LLMs), to implementation within the Fabasoft eGov Suite.
• You will ensure that AI features meet the high standards of the public sector, with a strong focus on data protection (GDPR), accessibility, quality, and reliability.

Your profile:

• You have completed a degree or equivalent education (technical college, university of applied sciences, or university) in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Data Science, or a related field, and already have experience in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (e.g., NLP, LLMs, Computer Vision, or Information Retrieval).
• You have solid programming skills in common languages such as Python or Java and are familiar with modern software architectures and development methodologies.
• You are eager to learn the Fabasoft development language, app.ducx, and apply your AI expertise to develop innovative solutions within the Fabasoft eGov Suite.
• You enjoy analyzing complex business processes and workflows in the field of records and document management, abstracting them, and translating them into structured, sustainable software solutions.
• You have excellent German language skills (spoken and written) and a good command of English, as our customers and the regulatory requirements in the public sector are primarily German-speaking.
