Junior Event Managerin Hannah

In October 2022, Hannah joined our team as a Junior Event Manager. Her tasks include the (co-)organization of social events in the Fabasoft Group. And she does this with great enthusiasm, as she tells us here.

Hannah, please give us an overview of your career so far, and what made you decide to apply for event management at Fabasoft?

Hannah: I graduated from the High School for Tourism (Höhere Lehranstalt für Tourismus, HLT) in Bad Leonfelden where I specialized in tourism, travel and event management. Because this area is so varied and interesting, I also wanted to pursue this direction professionally. And Fabasoft was looking for support in event management right after my graduation. I found the benefits attractive, e.g. the climate ticket including eShuttle service, as I live in a small village in Lower Austria and therefore depend on public transport every day. But above all, the regular social events at Fabasoft were the deciding factor for me to submit my application documents – and to start with a lot of motivation in October 2022.

Which social events have you already organized, and what else is planned?

Hannah: There's already a lot to tell. Right after I started at Fabasoft, I organized a get-together for our team with my supervisor Susi: we spent a funny evening with a cocktail class followed by dinner in Linz. The next activities were Mission Games or Escape Rooms in Linz, Vienna, Frankfurt, Berlin and Erfurt. Then pre-Christmas parties in Linz and Vienna in early December 2022, followed by our Fabasoft X-MAS party with delicious food, good music and lots of fun. The 2023 program is similarly colorful: food trucks, barista courses, brewery tours, musicals, chocolate workshops, bowling and movie nights. Plus our Barbecue Thursdays, family days at the Jump Dome or the IKUNA Nature Resort, for example, as well as some running events. And that is certainly not all. As we say in our employer branding, we are planning "beastly good" events – but I won't tell you the details in advance ...

So it remains quite exciting. Can you tell us what you think characterizes a "beastly good" event?

Hannah: The point is to spend time together after work too, in order to get to know each other even better. This promotes cohesion. For the events, we take into account the wishes of the Fabasoft team, which we collect in surveys, during daily work or directly at joint activities. Fun, health and sustainability are in the focus – accordingly, sports play an important role for us. For example, we support the "Linz fährt Rad" project with prizes for cycling kilometers and provide our runners with sustainably produced Fabasoft running shirts and jackets. And of course the physical well-being must not be neglected during the leisurely laps. It's wonderful to organize something great for my colleagues and I'm happy about the active participation, the positive feedback and the appreciation. I'm sure I'll never run out of ideas, because "I really care for events."

In view of all the varied Fabasoft events, what's your favorite way to spend your free time?

Hannah: I love fresh air and I am often outdoors, which is why I have been playing soccer in a club for years. Regular training in the gym is also part of my life. I also like to cook and bake and spend a lot of time with my friends and family. Community and fun have a high value for me not only professionally, but also privately.
