On September 3, 2019, the “Product Management 4.0 Strategietag” for the first time took place in Mannheim with Fabasoft as an event partner. More than 250 participants from all sectors of industry met for the day to learn more about networked products, digital platforms and services, big data, smart factories, new production processes, cross-industry cooperations and intelligent supply chains.
Current developments such as the transformation from mere products to on-demand services or declining customer loyalty were also discussed intensively. In the future, product managers will have to think and act even more in terms of networks and intensify internal communication with the relevant departments such as management, marketing, sales, product development, production or IT. Networking with external partners in the development of new service concepts for product managers will continue to gain in importance.
In his presentation, Christian Muck addressed this issue: “New business models through the digital expansion of your organisation”. On the basis of customer examples he explained to the interested audience how digitised project management processes can bring higher efficiency, how to actively and safely include external
partners into processes and how new business models arise from an enlarged services portfolio.
