Digitisation has led to a change of paradigm, moving away from simple products towards on-demand services. Product managers are therefore facing new challenges: Customer benefits and experiences on various product issues, customised service offerings, the inclusion of customers into product development. These success factors are entirely new and go far beyond the previous focus on production, quality and functionality.
As a consequence, product managers must think and act in terms of networks, while internal communication with the relevant departments such as management, marketing, sales, product development, production and IT has to be intensified. Networking with external stakeholders – suppliers, service providers, customers – is becoming even more important in the development of new service concepts.
Product management and digitisation
The “Product Management 4.0 Strategietag” is an interactive networking event that will convey the technological, social, economic and organisational aspects of digitisation within the context of product management. - Development methods for digital business models
- Platform economy
- Individualisation and customer centricity
- And much more
