August 29th, 2017 02:00 PM to
August 31th, 2017 08:00 PM

From August 16 to September 1, 2017, several hundreds of experts from science, politics, business, culture and civil society will explore the tensions between “Conflict & Cooperation”.

Focus: Artificial intelligence and revolutionary technologies

More and more tasks previously reserved for humans can now be carried out by robots, algorithms and autonomously learning codes. They can handle enormous amounts of data, understand language, recognise individual people and immediately react to their environment. The advance of new technologies and the inescapable digitisation of society are creating unprecedented possibilities while also raising entirely new questions of ethics, business and security technology. At Alpbach, these topics will be examined by international experts. Be a part of it and join the discussion!

How the lack of IT and network security threatens the European digital economy

Digitisation is a controversial phenomenon in which network and IT security play an important role. What types of cooperation are required at the European level to ensure IT and network security for the European Union’s digital single market in order to handle digital conflicts?
