For more than fifteen years, the public service paper “Behörden Spiegel” has been organising North Rhine-Westphalia’s main congress in the area of IT and IT-supported administrative modernisation. The “e-nrw” congress is particularly significant since North Rhine-Westphalia with its population of about 18 million people is the largest German state. In addition, the local government reorganisation has brought the number of regional authorities down to 400, turning them into strong local bodies. By concentrating on a limited number of decision makers from the community level and the direct participation of the state government, “e-nrw” once again ensures that the top deciders from the state and local authorities meeting in Düsseldorf/Neuss will discuss current topics and use the congress as a platform to exchange ideas and get in touch with businesses and consultants.
The event’s programme has been drawn up in cooperation with the state’s Ministry of Economic Affairs, Innovation, Digitalisation and Energy and offers a dense and highly informative range of issues with more than 50 presentations held by high-level speakers. The main programme will focus on issues of e-government for Administration 4.0 and their implications on the economy, the manifold aspects of the future of data protection as well as the IT cooperation between the federal, state and community levels. In ten expert forums, these issues as well as further topics will be explored in greater detail. The congress will take place at the Stadthalle Neuss which offers modern conference rooms as well as excellent and spacious possibilities for exhibitor presentations and inspiring choices for communication and networking.
