The E-Government Act NRW which has come into effect in 2016 marks a true relaunch of e-government and IT in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW). In addition, the significance of the “e-nrw” congress is also based on the fact that the state with a population of about 18 million people is the largest German state and has a strong local administration of more than 400 regional authorities. Right at the heart of Düsseldorf, “e-nrw” gathers a viable number of community-level decision makers and those directly responsible in the state’s government to let you meet with the top deciders from the state and the local authorities, discuss current topics and use the congress as a platform to exchange ideas and get in touch with businesses and consultants.
With more than 40 presentations, the event’s programme offers a dense and highly informative range of issues to be presented by high-level speakers and has been drawn up in cooperation with the Ministry of the Interior and Communal Affairs of North Rhine-Westphalia. The event’s main programme will focus on issues of e-government for Administration 4.0 and their relationship with the economy, the manifold aspects of future data protection and the IT cooperation between the federal, state and community levels – in particular the “FITKO” project. A total of ten expert forums will allow to explore these and further topics in greater detail. Since the number of attendees has continually been rising in the course of the past few years, the congress will now take place at a larger location: For the first time, “e-nrw” will be held at the Stadthalle Neuss which is offering modern conference rooms as well as excellent and spacious possibilities for exhibitor presentations and inspiring choices for communication and networking.
