On March 20 and 21, 2018, the public service paper “Behörden Spiegel” will organise the digitisation congress “Digital State” in Berlin. At last year’s event on digitisation in public administration, more than 700 attendees participated. Together with the new date set in March, “Digital State” will also move to a new location. For the first time, the congress will be held at the former premiere cinema KOSMOS in Berlin, giving the presentations and discussions a whole new look.
Three topic areas
E-Government: FITKO, the digitisation programme, the new Digital Agenda and the portal interconnection: The next five years will be determined by projects aimed at providing a standardised and binding collaboration between the federal, state and local levels, involving investments of a three-digit million euro amount.
Digital data protection: The new EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU-GDPR) will become effective in May 2018. In this topic area, the congress will highlight the conflicts faced by digital platforms with regard to efficiency and data protection, and illustrate the new requirements on public authorities. A need for further adaptation is particularly evident on the local level of administration.
Work & Personnel 4.0: Discussions on the opportunities and developments of the ongoing digitisation of administrative work as well as on bots and the fully automated administrative act. Personnel recruitment, qualification and development, mobile work, home office, working life – these are important questions for the future.
We look forward to meeting you at the event to discuss current Fabasoft eGov-Suite issues together with you.
