The Federal Institute of Geosciences and Raw Materials (BGR) has decided in favour of Fabasoft. The specialist agency located in Hanover awarded the software producer the contract to introduce a document management system. Some 800 people will be handling business processes for the BGR in a seamless media environment in future.

The software products Fabasoft eGov-Suite and Fabasoft iArchiveLink will be used for this purpose. The Fabasoft eGov-Suite enables users to handle business processes electronically in one workflow. Fabasoft iArchive Link is a certified, seamless media interface between an SAP system and the Fabasoft eGov-Suite.

As an agency of the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi), the BGR is the central scientific and technical institute which is consulted by the Federal Government regarding georelevant issues.

The Federal State of Lower Saxony had already decided in favour of Fabasoft in 2007.
