Approval for Fabasoft eGov-Suite in Düsseldorf
05.12.11
Approval for the implementation of a document management system in the Düsseldorf lord mayor's office at 200 workstations with an option for a further 1800 licences.
The IT cooperation Rhineland (ITK Rheinland) is a joint body of the Neuss municipalities within the Rhine district and the county capital Düsseldorf. It provides the municipalities with the required IT infrastructure and operates the corresponding applications.
In May 2011, as part of the EU-wide negotiation procedures, a framework agreement was issued for the delivery, installation, customization, training and maintenance of an organization-wide document management system (DMS) including the accompanying services. In mid-October Fabasoft, with its Fabasoft eGov-Suite and Fabasoft Mindbreeze, received approval. The aim of the project is a step-by-step implementation of a DMS in the county capital Düsseldorf and its municipalities. The duration of the framework agreement is six years - the kick off is planned for November 2011.
The first step should see a DMS set up in the Düsseldorf lord mayor's office across 200 workstations by March 2012. The solution is then planned to be rolled out for up to 1,800 further users.
