Fabasoft eGov-Suite is the leading product for electronic file and workflow management in the German-speaking countries. The product is used to increase the speed, efficiency and transparency of administrational processes in central administrations (federal ministries and federal administrations), regional and local authorities, and represents the backbone of citizen-oriented eGovernment processes.

The product is based on international standards and has been evaluated and certified by administrative authorities in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Thanks to the high scalability of the product, use cases ranging from small installations at municipal level, for example, to central installations with tens of thousands of users in a client system can be realized quickly and cost-efficiently.

The Fabasoft eGov-Suite implements digital business processes in public administration. The product for document management, file and process management and content management has been certified in a number of countries, shortens processing times of official procedures and saves costs in forming the basis for citizen-oriented eGovernment. The Fabasoft eGov-Suite covers all aspects of business objects for the entire duration of their relevance. It is also completely object-oriented and makes web services available using a service-oriented architecture (SOA).

Thanks to the modular structure of the software and its consistent reference to open standards, it is ideal for the rapid implementation of specialist applications, plus an integration basis for systems creating and processing diverse content. Numerous public sector organizations at federal, regional and local levels in German-speaking countries use this product throughout the respective territories to handle their daily tasks.

Formal processing

The Fabasoft eGov-Suite improves the benefit in the field of formal processing which has been established in practice for years. Folder plan and folder organization, inbox entry, folder routing and ad-hoc workflows as well as the compilation of an initial document and dispatch have been further simplified and optimized in close cooperation with our customers. Thus the initial assignment of receipts, for example, is accomplished by a simple click on the recommended users and organizational units.

Informal cooperation

Informal cooperation is of increasing meaning due to so-called Enterprise 2.0 technologies and social networks. Many authorities want to benefit from the advantages of informal cooperation in their own organizations without waiving orderly documentation. The Fabasoft eGov-Suite now has the right answer: the informal work area. At each station of the business process, the administrator can create an informal work area for a folder, copy documents from the folder into the work area and invite participants from different areas to cooperate in this work area. In this work area, the participants informally develop results and exchange their ideas for this purpose in a discussion forum. Through the Liferay portal integration, also external participants may be involved in the informal work area.

After having concluded the informal cooperation, the administrator can automatically transfer the work results into the folder again, resolve the informal work area and continue the formal routing. Thus the user can make use of the advantages of informal cooperation without having to abandon orderly documentation.

Cappuccino and Espresso: Expert and simple mode

Expert and simple mode (Cappuccino and Espresso Mode) The Fabasoft eGov-Suite provides a large number of functions and a deep view on meta data. Years of development and the integration of client  specification have made the Fabasoft  eGov-Suite into a powerful tool. Casual users, beginners and routine jobs however only require a limited number of functions and meta data.

Simple and elegant handling

The Fabasoft eGov-Suite consequently relies on Web 2.0 and AJAX technology for the user interface. The new form technology of the product allows for a precise, clearly laid out and simple user concept.
