Rollout of Fabasoft eGov-Suite "Out of the Box" throughout entire Province.
The eGovernment project ELISA (electronic file in the Province of Salzburg) is gong to plan. Hallein district administration and the first five departments of the office of Salzburg Provincial government already use the Fabasoft eGov-Suite in a live environment. The file management software is being rolled out as a standard product "out of the box" in accordance with the Provincial specification - without any additional project-specific modifications necessary.
Using standard software brings considerable benefits for the Province of Salzburg in terms of assisting employees and when working with new software updates. This also saves costs. The fact that the Province of Salzburg is also involved in product development shows how close the cooperation is between the two partners: the Province of Salzburg knows what its citizens expect and Fabasoft has the technical know-how. This is the Province of Salzburg's approach to driving forward the development of eGovernment.
2,150 workplaces throughout the Province
As part of the overall ELISA project, all departments of the office of Salzburg Provincial government and the district administration authorities will change over to the Fabasoft eGov-Suite. Over 2,150 users will be working with this software in the Province of Salzburg by the end of 2009 at the latest. Existing data from the past will be entered into the new system.
The standard software Fabasoft eGov-Suite enables effective electronic file processing. The electronic file serves as the original, making a printout no longer necessary. Additional functionalities such as electronic delivery can be activated very easily as part of an upgrade and put into the live environment.
Quality assurance is based on Fabasoft DUCXtest. This instrument is used to carry out what are referred to as automated black box tests. With these data records it is then very easy to be able to check all use scenarios. This means that the desired scope of function can be checked objectively and efficiently for all the platforms that are supported.
